THIS INDENTURE made the eighth Day of September Anno Domini,
one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine, BETWEEN Jacob
Sheirer of Shrewsberry Township in the County of York, & State
of Pennsylvania yeoman and Anna his Wife of the one part, AND
Tobias Hartman of the County of Lancaster and State aforesaid
of the other part, WITNESSETH that the said Jacob Sheirer
and Anna his Wife, for and in Consideration of the sum of One
thousand & two hundred pounds Lawful money of Pennsylvania
to him the said Jacob Sheirer well and truly in hand paid, by
the said Tobias Hartman at or before the ensealing and delivery
of these presents, the receipt whereof he the said Jacob Sheirer
doth hereby acknowledge the ensealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof he the said Jacob Sheirer doth hereby acknowledge
and thereof, and of every part and parcel thereof, doth acquit
and discharge forever the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs, and Assigns
by these presents, Have granted, bargained sold, aliened, released
infeoffed and confirm'd and by these presents, Do grant, bargain,
sell, alien, release enfeoff and confirm unto the siad Tobias
Hartman and to his Heirs and Afsigns, forever, all that certain
Piece or tract of Land, Situate lying and being in Shrewberry
Township in the County of York aforesaid, Adjoining the Lands
of Jacob Hess, Henry Walter and Andrew Schwartz, Containing One
hundred Acres (be the same more or less) it being the same Lands
which in pursuance of a Warrant; from the Honourable the Proprietaries
of Pennsylvania bearing date the twenty eighth Day of December,
which was in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
seventy four was granted unto the aforesaid Jacob Sheirer and
to be Surveyed and laid out to him the said Jacob Sheirer accordingly,
as in and by the said Warrant may and doth appear [being also
the same Land Originally Improved by Adam Alt who together with
Susanah his Wife by an Instrument of Writing under their Hand
and Seals bearing date the Seventeenth Day of April which was
in the year of our Lord 1769 for the Consideration therein mentioned,
did bargain sell & convey the same unto Henry Alt, and to
his Heirs and Assigns forever as by the said Instrument of Writing
may appear, AND the said Henry Alt and Anna Maria his Wife
by an Indenture, under their Hands and Seals, bearing date the
sixteenth Day of December AoDi 1774 for the Consideration therein
mentioned, did bargain sell and convey the same unto Jacob Sheirer
(party hereto) and to his Heirs and Assigns forever, as by the
said Indenture may appear] TOGETHER with all and singular
the Houses, Outhouses, Edifices and buildings thereon erected
and built Profits, Commodities, Advantages, Emoluments, Hereditaments,
and appurtenances, whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise
appertaining, And the reversion and reversions, remainder and
remainders, rents Issues and Profits thereof and also all the
Estate, right, title, Interest, use, trust, property, possession
claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Jacob Sheirer &
his said Wife of in or to the same or every or any part thereof,
and also all Deeds, Evidences and Writings, touching or concerning
the same, or any part thereof and now in the Custody or Pofsefion
of him the said Jacob Sheirer or which he can or may come by without
Suit at Law or Equity, TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said piece
or parcel of Land Hereditaments and premisses hereby granted,
with the Appurtenances unto the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs
and Afsigns forever, To the only proper use benefit and behoof
of the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs and Afsigns forever, UNDER
and Subject to the residue of Purchase money, Interest and yearly
Quit rent now due and hereafter to become due for the same, to
the Chief Lord or Lords of the Fee thereof, AND the said
Jacob Sheirer for himself, his Heirs, Executors and Administrators,
doth convenant, promise and grant, to and with the said Tobias
Hartman his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Jacob Sheirer his
Heirs and Assigns, and all and every other person and persons
his or their Heirs, any thing having or claiming in the said premifses
above granted, or meant mentioned or intended so to be or any
part thereof by from or under him them or any or either of them
shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter upon
the reasonable request and at the proper Costs and Charges of
him the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs and Assigns make do and
execute or cause and procure to be made done and executed, all
and every such further and other Lawful and reasonable Act and
Acts thing and things, conveyances and Assurances in the Law whatsoever
for the further better more sure and perfect granting conveying
and assuring of all and singular the said Premisses with the appurtenances
unto the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs and Assigns forever, as
by him the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs or Assigns, or his or
their Council learned in the Law; shall be reasonably advised,
devised and required AND he the said Jacob Sheirer and
Anna his Wife, their Heirs the said piece or parcel of Land above
described and premissses unto the said Tobias Hartman his Heirs
and Assigns, against him the said Jacob Sheirer and their Heirs,
and against all and every other person and persons ___, Lawfully
claiming said premissses, or any part thereof, by from or under
him them or any of them, shall and will Warrant and forever defend
by these presents, excepted only the Chief Lord or Lords of the
Tee thereof as aforesaid, IN WITNESS whereof the said parties
to these presents have hereto interchangeably set their Hand and
Seals, the Day and year first above written

RECEIVED on the Day of the date of the above Indenture
of the above named Tobias Hartman the sum of One thousand &
two hundred pounds in full for the Consideration money abovesaid.

YORK COUNTY aforesaid. Be it remembered that on the eight
Day of September, Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred and seventy
nine, Before me the Subscriber, one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County aforesaid, personally came the above
named Jacob Sheirer and Anna his Wife, and acknowledged the above
Indenture to be their Act and Deed, and desired that the same
might be recorded, according to Law.
