Kempton, Maryland
(or West Virginia?)
The post office was in West Virginia, but the houses and town were in Maryland. With the mining company coming in, the Town was told that they could not have a company store in the same place as the current town, so they built a store just across the West Virginia line with a post office, all within steps of the town in Maryland.
