TAMBURINI, MOSE T.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in the Catholic Church,
Bayard, W.Va., for Mose T. TAMBURINI, 77, who died Saturday morning.
Interment will be in St. Michael's cemetery, of Frostburg. Mr.
TAMBURINI was born in Cimego but came to this country as a youth.
He is survived by three children, John, at home, and Miss Mary
Jo and Terrence TAMBURINI, of Cumberland, Md., a brother Henry
CIMEGO of Austria, and a niece, Mrs. Marguerite ANTANINI of Syracuse,
N.Y.

Mrs. Luella TASKER died at her home near Mt. Zion Church in District
No. 1, on Monday, April 5th, age 63 years. Mrs. TASKER is survived
by her husband, Solomon TASKER; seven sons, Leroy of Keyser, W.
VA., Grover and Fred of Shallmar, MD, Riley of Vindex and Russell,
John, and Jack at home, and three daughters: Mrs. Otho NELSON

SHARPLESS of Swanton. Also by two brothers, Lem HARVEY of Shaw,

PAUGH and Mrs. John SHARPLESS of Kitzmiller, MD. The funeral services
were conducted by the Rev. Wm. PUFFENBERGER and interment was

J. ALVIN TAYLOR, Jeweler of 130 S Third Street, Clarksburg W.VA
died November 6 at a local hospital of complications after a week's
illness. He was the son of WILLIAM L and MARY ORENDORFF TAYLOR.
Besides his widow, MRS SADIE SPOERLEIN TAYLOR, he leaves his father
of Washington D.C. and the following brothers and sisters; FRANK
M of Marion, OH, HERBERT of Washington DC, JOHN A of Salt Lake
City, UT, MRS IVY LEE WOOLRIDGE and MRS CLARABEL BABENDRIER of
Washington DC.
Funeral services were held at the home 119 South Chestnut Street,
REV HOMER E WARK, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church,
conducted the services. The body was then taken by train to Washington
DC for burial.
MR TAYLOR has been in the Jewelry business since 1926 in Clarksburg.
He was member of Findley Lodge No. 227 Ancient Free and Accepted
Masons in Findlay, OH and since April 5, 1925 has been a member
of the Scottish Rite bodies in Clarksburg. Ag
TAYLOR, MRS. ARTHUR A.
Friends of Mrs. Arthur A. TAYLOR in Mt. Lake Park and Oakland,
were saddened this week to learn of her death last Friday morning
at Cincinnati, Ohio, following a brief illness of only one week.
Mrs. TAYLOR had been a summer resident of the "Park"
for many years and an active member of the Women's Civic Club
of the corporation. As such she was always interested in "Park"
affairs and gave of her help in activities sponsored by that group
during the summer months. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal
Church here and was interested in it's activities during the summer
season. No details of her death or funeral services were known
up to the time of going to press. Mrs. TAYLOR is survived by her
husband and two daughters, Mrs. Stanley TAYLOR of Cincinnati,
Ohio, and Mrs. Walter FOSTER, of Crafton, Pa., and three grandchildren.

William M. THAYER
Funeral services for William M. THAYER, 82, who died last Friday
at his home at Thayerville, nine miles North of Oakland on Route
No. 219, were held Sunday afternoon at the Thayerville Baptist
Church. Mr. THAYER was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wright
THAYER, and was born in this county in August 1856. He was a farmer
for many years and also operated a store in Thayerville. He was
also Postmaster at Thayerville before the establishment of the
rural mail route from the Oakland office. Mr. Thayer is survived
by the Rev. Eugene THAYER, Staunton, VA., Getty THAYER, Tioga,
W. VA., Misses Mae and Irene, at home and two brothers, Daniel
of Deer Park and George of Oakland. mb

Funeral rites were conducted last Friday for MRS ELVIRA THOMAS,
66, who died of burns suffered when her clothing caught fire from
a pan of cinders she removed from a stove at her home in Markleysburg,
PA. Burial was in the Thomas cemetery.
She was a native of Garrett County, Maryland and was a daughter
of HIRAM and CYNTHIA HINEBAUGH HILEMAN: Surviving are two sons,
a daughter, a sister, CATHERINE REILLY of Friendsville, MD and

THOMAS, HARRY BRISON
Brison Harry THOMAS, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel J. THOMAS
of Sang Run, this county, died at his home on Third Street after
an illness of one week. He was born in Sang Run, April 6, 1911.
He is survived by his widow, Daisy (FOSTER) THOMAS, his parents,
two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Chas. ADAMS and Miss Anna Mary
THOMAS of Oakland, Jackson THOMAS, Terra Alta, and Samuel J. THOMAS
of Oakland, and two half sisters, Mrs. Chester SISLER, Hazelton,
W.Va., and Mrs. Harry NAYLOR, of Guilford, Conn., and six half
brothers, Oliver, William, Oakey, Bruce, Clayton and Victor. Funeral
services were held this morning at 10 a.m. in the M.E. Church,
Sang Run with Rev. E.S. Ryan, officiating. Interment was made
in the Sang Run cemetery.

THOMAS, MRS ORA BERL

MRS ORA BERL THOMAS, aged 74, died Wednesday morning, December
3, about 2 o'clock in the Garrett County Memorial hospital, Oakland,
where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She had been residing with her son, JACKSON THOMAS, north of Oakland.
MRS THOMAS was born September 6, 1877, in Terra Alta, W.VA., a
daughter of the late SILAS and MARTHA KELLEY CUPPETT. She was
a member of the Methodist Church at Sang Run.
Surviving are three sons, CLAYTON FRAZEE, Friendsville, of her
first marriage; SAMUAL THOMAS, Sang Run, and JACKSON THOMAS, Oakland;
also three daughters, MRS HARRY NAYLOR, Guilford, CO.; MRS DAISY
LEASURE, Baltimore; and MRS. MARY WEESE, Mt Lake Park; also 19
grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her Former husband WILLIAM
FRAZEE, Friendsville, also survives.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock
from the Methodist church at Sang Run. Interment will be in the
Friendsville cemetery. REV S.E. RYAN, Brandonvile, W.VA. will
officiate, assisted by REV CURTIS L SAVILLE, pastor of the Friendsville

THRASHER, MRS. MARGARET J

MRS. MARGARET J THRASHER, wife of the late BENJAMIN J THRASHER,
died suddenly at her home in Deer Park Sunday at 3:30 p.m. She
was stricken with a paralytic stroke Sunday morning and was unconscious
until her death. Funeral services were held from her home Wednesday
at 2.00 p.m. REV C.A. SHILKE officiating, assisted by REV DAVID
C TRIMBLE. Interment in the Deer Park Cemetery.
MRS THRASHER was 79 years of age having been born at New Creek,
Mineral County, W.VA; on June 29, 1873, the daughter of ALLEN
H. and MARY WILLIAMS. She was married BENJAMIN J THRASHER on June
15, 1873. Surviving are a brother JOHN WILLIAMS OF LACOOCHEE,
FL. and nine children, WILLIAM R., ADA G., RUSSELL H., and RALPH
H. THRASHER and MRS. EARL D COOPER, of Washington D.C., J. ALLAN
of Baltimore, MD; J. ROBERT and ANNA L of Deer Park, and PAUL
L., of Keyser, W.VA. ag
TICHNELL, BONNIE CATHERINE
Bonnie Catherine TICHNELL was born May 17, 1938, died December
22, 1938, age seven months and six days. She was the youngest
daughter of John TICHNELL near Mt. Zion. Funeral services were
conducted on Christmas morning by a friend, Herbert BARNARD at
the Mt. Zion church. Interment was in the Turner cemetery. She
leaves to mourn her loss, father, mother, five brothers and two
sisters.

TOWER, CHARLES A.
Funeral rites for the late Charles A. TOWER, who died at this
home here Saturday following an extended illness, were held Tuesday
at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ashley, a former pastor here of the Presbyterian
church, officiating, and Rev. David. C. Trimble, assisting. He
was aged 67 years. For more than seventeen years he was employed
in the office of the Clerk of the Court under his late brother
E.Z.TOWER. He was a son of the late William TOWER, who was the
first Clerk of the Garrett County Court. He is survived by his
widow and two children: Mrs. Kenneth TAYLOR, Terra Alta, W.S.
TOWER, Cumberland, and one sister, Mrs. E.I. WEST, Oakland. Pallbearers
were: John WEBER, Horace CODDINGTON, Nelson KRAUSE, T.A. GONDER,
E.G. NAYLOR and D. Edward OFFUTT. Burial was in the Oakland cemetery.

MRS MARY TRESSLER, wife of HARVEY TRESSLER, died Wednesday, July
8th, at her home near Unamus. She was 72 years of age and her
death was due to a heart ailment. MRS TRESSLER was a daughter
of the late JOHN and LINNIE SCHROCK DAVIS and was born near Springs,
PA. She is survived by her husband and seven children: ALMA, MILES,
ENOS, CAROTTA, MABLE AND RAYMOND TRESSLER and MRS LOOP, all of
whom reside in this section. Two sisters MRS JOE KLINK, of Somerset
and MRS WILL SCHRAEDER of Niverton, and four brothers SAM, SHERMAN,
JIM and ED DAVIS, all of Springs, PA. also survive her. The REV
KAUFMAN of Somerset, conducted funeral services at the home on
Saturday, July 11th. WILLIAM WINTERBERG, Grantsville undertaker,
was in charge of the funeral arrangements. Interment was in the
Addison Cemetery. MESSRS JUDSON ENOS, MARSHALL ENOS, G.B. WHIPKEY,
NORMAN BEAL and HARRY HARNED acted as pallbearers. Ag

Lee TRUE, 62, Kitzmiller, who was sent to the Memorial Hospital
following an investigation by county officers into the cause of
an injury suffered December 15th, died early Sunday. His home
was near Shallmar, this county. mb
TURNER, FRANCIS H.
Francis Hammond TURNER, 78, died Monday morning at the home of
a daughter, Mrs. Russell HARVEY, in Clarksburg, W.Va., following
a lingering illness. A retired school teacher and farmer, Mr.
TURNER was born in Swanton, a son of the late Gilbert and Emily
(SHARPLESS) TURNER. His wife, Mrs. Nellie May (TICHNELL) TURNER,
preceded him in death. Mr. TURNER was a member of the Assembly
of God church. Surviving besides Mrs. HARVEY, are a son Seidel
TURNER, Morgantown, W.Va.; another daughter, Mrs. Alice SHARPLESS,
Glassport, Pa.' Two sisters, Mrs. Victoria CONNER, Fairmont, W.Va.;
and Mrs. Alice WARNICK, Hampshire, W.Va.; also 15 grandchildren
and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God
Church, near Swanton, with Rev. George Burkhart, a former pastor,
officiating. Interment is in the Turner Cemetery.

TURNER, JAMES H.
Funeral services for James Henry TURNER, a farmer, who died suddenly
at his home near Avilton, last Friday morning, were held at Mt.
Zion Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon and were largely attended
by relatives and friends from Frostburg, Cumberland, Grantsville
and Hyndman. Rev. A.M. Wright, of he Reformed church, Salisbury,
Pa., assisted by Rev. A.C. Bell, Grantsville, officiated. Pallbearers
were his old friends; Lewis LAYMAN, William RAVENSCRAFT, Bradford
and Bruce BLOCHER, Enoch ROBESON and Jesse MERRILL. Interment
was made in the churchyard. Mr. TURNER was the son of Joshua and
Almira TURNER and was born at Grantsville, 70 years ago. He married
Miss Mollie FROST in May 1893, who survives him with six children:
Silas and Joshua, of Avilton; Thomas, of Frostburg; Mrs. Guy S.
STANTON, of Grantsville, and Miss Winifred Ann, at home. There
are nineteen grandchildren also surviving. He also leaves the
following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Norvall LAYMAN, Nuvall, Iowa;
Mrs. Eugene WEAVER, Buckhannon, W.Va.; Mrs. Anna DURST, and George
and William TURNER, Shade Mills, Garrett County.

MRS MAUDE POPE TURNER, widow of GEORGE C. TURNER, died from a
heart attack at her home near Grantsville. Monday morning, she
is survived by two sons: FRANK TURNER, at home, and WEAVER TURNER,
near here, one daughter, KATHRYN TURNER, and one brother, GEORGE
POPE near Guntertown. Ag
TURNER, MRS. MAUD POPE
Mrs. Maud Pope TURNER, widow of George C. TURNER, died suddenly
at her home on the National Highway, near Shade Mills. She had
been in failing health for the past year but for the past six
months had been active about her home on the fatal morning had
arisen and was in the act of preparing breakfast when she was
stricken with a heart attack. She was born near the place she
made her home on September 15, 1876, and was united in marriage
to George C. TURNER in 1896. Surviving are the following children:
Catherine TURNER, Wellsburg, W.Va.; Frank TURNER, at home; and
Weaver TURNER, near Frostburg. Funeral services were held at 2:30
p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, with Rev. V.R. Gillum, Methodist pastor,
officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Attending
the services form a distance were Mrs. Jennie (TURNER) WEAVER,
and daughter, Sarah, Buckhannon, W.Va.; Mrs. Mollie (FROST) TURNER,
Baltimore; Mr. and Mrs. James MICHAEL, and Mrs. George McGEARY,
Youngstown, Ohio; Private H.J. HUMMEL, Jackson Air Base, Jackson,
Miss., and Mrs. Annabelle DAWSON, Piedmont, W.Va.

Mrs. Anna TUSING, wife of James William TUSING, age 61, died at
her home in New Kinsington, Pa., October 19. Burial was made in
Arnold, Pa. October 22nd. She is survived by her husband and six
children, six brothers and five sisters. She was a daughter of
the late
J. W. COGLEY of Oakland.

TWIGG, MRS. LULA V.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Victoria TWIGG, 38, who died Friday
at her home, two miles south of Mountain Lake Park, following
an illness of more than a year, was held Monday at 2:30 p.m.,
in the Pleasant Valley M.E. Church, with interment in the church
cemetery. She was born in Keyser, W.Va., and was a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack SPENCER. Her husband, James TWIGG, survived,
along with four children, Zelma, Donald, Betty and Robert, all
at home; four brothers, Isaac SPENCER, John SPENCER and Charles
SPENCER all of Keyser, and Adam SPENCER, of Cumberland, and three
sisters, Mrs. Bell TRIPLETT, of Sandusky, Ohio; Mrs. Virginia
TWIGG of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Mrs. Martha FLECK, of Keyser.
