O'BRIEN
Oakland, Jan. 21 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa GLOVER O'BRIEN, 68, who died in Memorial hospital, Cumberland, of injuries suffered when a car in which she was riding was struck by a passenger train at Mt. Lake Park, will be held Friday in the Pentecostal Tabernacle at Sand Flat, of which she was a member. The Rev. Mr. BURKHART, of Elk Garden, W. Va., will officiate, and interment will be in Thayersville cemetery, at Deep Creek. The remains will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jasper RILEY, Pleasant Valley, until time for the service.
Mrs. O'BRIEN was born April 5, 1876, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Washington GLOVER, of Hazelton, W. Va. Surviving, besides her husband, Charles O'BRIEN, who is recovering in the hospital from injuries received in the same accident, are her daughter, Mrs. RILEY, Pleasant Valley; six grandchildren; one brother, Taylor GLOVER, Ursina, Pa.; and four sisters, Mrs. Savilla SAVAGE, Sand Spring; Mrs. Alice SMITH, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Milton FORSYTHE and Miss Rhoda GLOVER, of Friendsville.

OPEL
Mrs. Savilla Opel passed away Tuesday morning at her home near St. Paul. A heart attack was the immediate cause of her death. Mrs. OPEL was born September 11, 1856, the daughter of Elias and Barbara HOSTETLER GNAGEY, and was 80 years old at the time of her demise. She was the widow of Henry OPEL, who died five years ago. Mrs. OPEL was the mother of fifteen children, eleven of whom survive her. They are: Milton OPEL, in Ohio; Jacob OPEL, of Long Stretch; John OPEL, of Keysers Ridge; Eli OPEL, in Oregon; William OPEL and Mrs. Sylvester MAUST, of St. Paul; Mrs. Clyde NEWMAN, of Meyersdale, Mrs. Charles MILLER and Mrs. Irvin FIRLE, of Summit Mills, Pa.; Miss Annie OPEL, of Salisbury, Pa. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren and 14 greatchildren.
Rev. S. D. SIGLER, Pastor of the Lutheran Church, conducted funeral services from the home last Thursday and Rev. Jonas B. MILLER and Rev. Shem BEACHY officiated at services held at the Amish Church in St. Paul. Interment was in the St. Paul cemetery.
Mrs. Adam A. HANFT and Miss Cora OPEL, of Grantsville, are nieces of the deceased.

William T. ORNDORFF, 83, died Sunday, October 8th at his late home on Beaver Run, near Burlington, W. VA., after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and well known in Mineral and Hampshire Counties, having lived in the latter county during his early life.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Ellen ORNDORFF, six sons, Ira A. ORNDORFF, Keyser; Amos P. ORNDORFF.Akron, OH., E. Ervin ORNDORFF, Rawlings, MD., Rev. Wm. B. ORNDORFF, Mt. Lake Park, Marvin F. ORNDORFF. Washington and E. Finley ORNDORFF, Burlington. Two daughters, Mrs. G. T. HAINES, of Romney, W. VA and Etta B. ORNDORFF of Burlington. Also one brother, C. M. ORNDORFF, Augusta, W. VA. Twenty-seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, survive.
Mr. ORNDORFF was a Sunday School Supt. for many years and a life long member of the Methodist Church. Short services were held at the home on Tuesday, after which the cortege went to Augusta, W. VA., where services were conducted by Rev. E. W. DOLAN, a retired Methodist Minister, assisted by Rev. W. E. THOMAS, of Headsville, W. VA. Interment was made in Augusta Cemetery. Mb

Christian J. OTTO died about 11:50 o'clock Friday morning at the home of his son, Samuel J. OTTO at New Germany. He was 91 years old and the last surviving member of his family. He was born on the Asa Fresh farm near here, the son of Jacob and Mary SHETLER OTTO, who came to this country from Germany. On January 8, 1874 he married Miss Clara ARENT, Grantsville, who died about 3 years ago. They purchased a farm at New Germany where they spent the rest of their lives. Mr. OTTO turned the farm over to his son about 27 years ago, however he continued to live there. For some time he operated a store at New Germany and about 50 years ago owned one of the largest sawmills in Western Maryland. He was a staunch Republican and was a member of the New Germany Reformed Church and for about 50 years served as Superintendent of the Sunday School. He was also an Elder in the church. Surviving, in addition to his son, S. J. OTTO, are seven daughters, Miss Ruth OTTO, Mrs. Wm. FARRIS, Mrs. Olen BROADWATER, Akron, OH; Mrs. Austin BROADWATER, Salisbury, PA., Mrs. Charles LAYMAN, Mrs. Elmer BEACHY and Mrs. Floyd BROADWATER, Grantsville. Rev. A. M. WRIGHT conducted funeral services at the church Sunday morning and interment was in the adjoining cemetery. MB

Fred OTTO, aged 64 years, died Tuesday, March 9th, at 2:00 p.m. He was born at New Germany and lived his entire life in the community.
He was united in marriage with Miss Margaret HANSEL, 28 years ago. Mrs. OTTO preceded him in death. Six children are survivors and all of them are residents of Garrett County. MB
OURS
John W. OURS, 79, died at his home near Deer Park, Md., Sunday. He came to Garrett county from West Virginia about sixty years ago and engaged in farming. He married Miss Virginia KING about 52 years ago, who survives him and three half brothers and three half sisters. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Baptist Church, Loch Lynn, with Rev. W. B. ORENDORF in charge. Interment in the King Cemetery.
