HARVEY, Rebecca E, d. 7/7/1851, 1 yr, 6 mos, 15 days daughter of T.E. & A.A.
IRONS, Elizabeth Susan, 12/18/1824-3/15/1850 K.B., 1842, fieldstone marker
Estimated to be about 10-15 graves here at one time. Most illegible. Another Irons Cemetery is located on the Lee Shillingburg Farm, Steyer Road. "Talked with Mr. C.M.Shillingburg today & he told us that the old Irons Cemetery was on his place. The cemetery, house & old foundations lie north of his present house and barn, a considerable distance. (John IRONS, the Rev. War soldier would be buried here.) About 60 years ago one of the Irons' sons returned from Missouri & had the cemetery fenced & cleaned. The fence has long since fallen down. After the Irons family, the Steyer family owned the farm. The chimney of Mr. Shillingburg's house is of a cut stone fireplace, and he dated it at around 100 years old. He told us the cemetery had no stones, just fieldstones." Martha Wood Kahl, 10/28/1973
